Some of the Stara planina events, where you can try local dishes, are: “Fair of the Balkan Mountains” in Temska village, which is held every year in early July, “Fair of peglana kobasica” in Pirot, which you can visit at the end of January, “Prayer under Midžor” which is held in the villages of Vrtovac and Balta Berilovac on Djurdjevdan, the “Gathering on Kadibogaz” held on the Serbian-Bulgarian border each year on July 19th, the “Sipurijada” in the village of Novo Korito which you can visit every year in October and the fair “With Tradition to Europe” which is held in late November and / or early December in Knjazevac.
