Culinary skills on Stara planina

As the tradition and customs are the basis for getting to know a region, one needs to find a way to describe them as easily as possible and bring them closer to visitors.

Local cuisine is always the focus of tourists and the first step to getting to know one place. Through traditional dishes, visitors can get acquainted with the lifestyle of the residents of one area.

From the many authentic recipes from the area of Stara Planina, today we have chosen to present to you Prženo. The dish is being prepared with sweet peppers, eggs and white cheese.

It should be served as an appetizer and can also be a delicious breakfast 🙂

ABOUT THE PROJECT PARTNERS

The realization of the project „Taste of Stara planina” was led by 2 partners from Serbia and Bulgaria.

The leading partner in the project is the association “Manifesto” from Serbia, founded in 2011 with the aim of promoting local innovations in the service of increasing tourist competitiveness and development of the region. The Manifesto Association has successfully implemented the Cultural Events Network project to support the organization of local cultural events in the Serbia-Bulgaria cross-border region with the aim of improving tourist visibility.

Other partner in the project is the association “Regional Partnerships for Sustainable Development-Vidin”, established in 2003 with the aim of establishing sustainable partnerships for regional development through project preparation and implementation, as well as through participation in local, regional and international projects and events.

The project is co-funded by EU through the Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia Programme.
